Here are a few ways we aim to deliver on our ambition:
Mobilising €150 billion annually in sustainable finance by 2027, through loans, capital markets, derivatives, and advisory
Tripling financing for renewable power generation to €7.5 billion annually by 2025
Phasing out financing of upstream oil and gas activities by 2040—ten years ahead of international guidance
But the transition can’t happen overnight. Even though we finance a lot of sustainable activities, we still finance more that are not, reflecting the current global economy. That’s why we’re committed to engaging with clients on their own transition plans, pioneering new financing solutions, and managing the most relevant environmental and social risks.
