Change in SEPA Direct Debit Processing

Dear Client,In pursuit of advancing our digital transition, our bank is continuing the upgrade of its system that supports local account management and the processing of various transaction types.

As the next phase of this transition, starting from July 8, 2025, SEPA direct debits incoming to clients’ accounts can only be processed from euro accounts. Therefore, if you currently perform these direct debits from non-euro accounts, please choose one of the following options:

  • If you have a euro account, please provide its details to your partners for SEPA direct debit payments.
  • If you do not have a euro account, you may consider the following two options:
    • open a euro account at ING Bank and provide the details of this new account to your business partners for SEPA direct debit payments, or
    • after consulting with your business partners (if possible), fulfill your financial obligations through transfer payments from any currency account instead of the current SEPA direct debit.

 

If you make SEPA direct debits from non-euro accounts within the framework of the ING Corporate Card Service, please choose one of the following options:

  • If you have a euro account, please use it for SEPA direct debits in the future. In this case, please specify your euro account for future payments during the card contract modification process.
  • If you have a euro account but do not wish to use it for SEPA direct debits related to your bank card, the card contract modification process will include a record stating that instead of SEPA direct debits, claims related to the card services will be fulfilled by transfers by the bank’s specified deadline.
  • If you do not have a euro account, you may consider the following two options:
  • Open a euro account at ING Bank and provide its details for future payments during the card contract modification process.
  • Commit to fulfilling obligations via transfer payments by the deadline specified by ING instead of the current SEPA direct debit.

Following the implementation of this change, SEPA direct debits arriving at non-euro currency accounts will be rejected by the bank.
