At ING Wholesale Banking, we want our products and services to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and neurodivergent people. Our digital experience follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, level AA) and the European standard EN 301 549.

We check our website through internal reviews and external accessibility audits. These checks help us find and remove barriers. Some parts of the website are not yet fully accessible. The known limitations and planned actions are listed in this statement.

User experience for all visitors

Our website includes accessibility features that help people use and navigate the content in different ways.

  • Screen reader compatibility: Our website is designed to work with screen readers, so users can listen to the content and navigate the website using assistive technology.
  • Accessible via keyboard: Users can interact with the website using the keyboard only.
  • Adjustable font size: Users can change the font size in their browser to make the text easier to read.
  • We carry out regular accessibility audits with our internal accessibility programme and external partners to find and fix issues.
  • We provide training for our staff, so they understand accessibility and know how to support it.

Our website is designed to work with the following browsers:

Limitations

Areas we are improving

Keyboard navigation and focus
We are improving the order in which items receive keyboard focus. We are also making the focus indicator easier to see in menus, the cookie banner and other components.

Menus and interactive components
We are making menus, accordions and other interactive elements easier to understand and use with keyboard and assistive technology.

Page structure
We are improving headings, landmarks, lists and grouped content so that pages have a clear and logical structure.

Links, buttons and forms
We are adding clearer names, instructions and descriptions so that links, buttons and form fields are easier to understand.

Images, charts and other visual content
We are improving text alternatives for important visual content. We are also making sure decorative images do not distract users of assistive technology.

Complex charts and data tables
We are making financial charts, tables and other complex information easier to understand, navigate and enlarge.

Video content and controls
We are improving video controls and adding captions where they are missing.

Content at different screen sizes and zoom levels
We are making sure that content and interactive elements stay visible, readable, and usable when users zoom in or use smaller screens.

Footnotes and references
We are making it easier to move between references and their footnotes, especially for people using a keyboard or assistive technology.

Touch target size
We are reviewing interactive elements to make them easier to select on touchscreens for people with limited dexterity.
