For three decades, ING Wholesale Banking in Switzerland has partnered with clients across borders, sectors and markets - supporting their growth and helping them navigate an increasingly complex and fast-changing global environment.
As part of ING Group, a leading bank with a strong European foundation and global reach, ING Switzerland combines deep local expertise with the strength of an international network. Through its presence in key financial and trading hubs, ING supports clients operating across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and emerging markets. This unique positioning allows the bank to bring the best of both worlds: proximity to Swiss and international clients and connectivity to opportunities worldwide. The bank supports clients across more than 60 countries, helping them manage complexity, operate seamlessly across borders and capture new opportunities – with its role going beyond financing: it brings insight, structure and connectivity to help clients move forward with confidence.
In Switzerland, ING serves a diversified client base including multinational corporates, large Swiss companies, financial institutions and commodity traders. The bank is active across key sectors such as Energy (including renewables and transition technologies), Metals, Agriculture, FMCG, Healthcare & Pharma, and Financial Institutions. It provides a wide range of wholesale banking solutions, including lending, structured and export finance, trade finance, cash management, financial markets products, sustainable finance, and advisory services for global capital markets.
Today, our presence in Switzerland is built on a team of more than 300 professionals across two cities: Geneva and Zurich, reflecting a strong investment in local talent and a diverse workforce representing numerous nationalities and areas of expertise.
In Geneva, we host one of ING’s global centres of excellence for Trade & Commodity Finance – a strategic hub supporting global commodity flows across, among others, energy, metals and agriculture, and working alongside leading commodity clients.
In Zurich, we provide tailored financing solutions and strategic advice from multinational corporates to medium and large Swiss companies, including FMCG, Healthcare & Pharma, the Energy sector and financial institutions, drawing on sector expertise and a wide suite of global capabilities.
Beyond financing, ING’s role is to bring insight, structure and connectivity — helping clients manage risk, navigate through the cycles and build resilience, accelerate their transition strategies, and seize new growth opportunities. Sustainability is a key pillar of this approach, with the bank actively supporting clients in sectors such as energy transition, sustainable infrastructure and responsible supply chains.
