Frankfurt am Main, February 10, 2022 - As of February 1st Simone Schmidt (46) has been appointed Head of Real Estate Finance Germany, Austria & Czech Republic of ING Germany's corporate banking business Wholesale Banking. She succeeds Sascha Malsy, who starts his new role as Head of Strategic Products within ING.
With her many years of experience at ING and in the banking sector, Simone Schmidt is exactly the right person for this position.

With her support, we want to further expand the area of commercial real estate financing in Germany.
Schmidt joined ING in 2013. In these eight years she played a key role in building and expanding the local team. Prior to joining ING, Schmidt worked in commercial real estate finance for Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and Morgan Stanley. She therefore looks back to 25 years of experience in the banking industry.
