Transition Accelerator is a Sector Coverage team that acts as a transition incubator for new sustainable technologies and business models across the value chain.
The team is responsible for identifying new sustainable industries, companies and projects where ING can play a role in helping to scale the transition. At the moment, Transition Accelerator is focused on the following emerging industries which are critical to the development of the new value chains required for a sustainable economy.

Transition in practice
Supporting clients in their transition requires more than capital alone. Electra, a fast‑growing European operator of electric vehicle charging stations, needed tailored advice to finance its expansion across Western Europe.
ING’s Transition Accelerator team worked closely with Electra to help structure and advise on a €433 million financing, supported by experience in the sector since 2019 and strong local expertise.
