Wholesale Banking

Corporate Sector Coverage (CSC) covers a broad range of large and multinational corporate clients across various value chains and industries, including Industrial Manufacturing, Construction, Building Materials, Food- and Non-Food Retail as well as Services. The CSC relationship banking teams are spread through a global franchise active in over 40 countries across EMEA, Asia Pacific and Americas with over 265 bankers globally. In certain ING locations where there may be no dedicated Sector bankers teams, the local CSC team also manages the corporate and institutional clients in that market active in other industries. An important part of the CSC client activities includes the solution delivery and servicing of international branches and subsidiaries of multinational corporates.

Images of the 4 subsectorsIn the EMEA region we have CSC relationship banking teams in 23 countries active across Europe and Middle East. In 21 of these countries we also conduct international banking activities for multi-national clients who are headquartered in the USA, APAC and Europe.

In the Americas ING’s CSC teams are based in US and Mexico to cover large and multinational corporates based in the USA, Mexico and parts of Latin America. Especially for the USA based corporate clients there is a high connectivity with delivering banking, financing, hedging, working capital and cash management solutions to these USA clients in Europe and Asia.

In the APAC region we have relationship banking teams covering CSC corporates in 12 countries, including a dedicated multinational team that manages all inbound and intra-Asia local accounts in Asia and Australia. The regional head office is based in Singapore. Additionally, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Sydney and Tokyo are important CSC client coverage hubs.

In CSC we have defined four sector clusters to organize and steer our client portfolios, with each a dedicated Sector Lead who acts as a champion and coordinator of virtual international teams of coverage bankers and product colleagues. These four identified sectors are:

  • Retail & Fast Moving Consumer Goods
  • Services

Each of these subsectors allows us to bring sharper commercial focus in helping our clients and to grow our business footprint. Within each cluster we align commercial priorities matching our risk appetite and work towards optimizing the client experiences and sustained profitability. We are sharing best practices and deal experiences in our global network with the aim to catalyze our solution delivery, idea replication and commercial momentum for our clients and ING Wholesale Banking.
