When making an online payment with your credit card, make sure to complete below steps within five minutes. The purchase process will then proceed as usual.
When you have activated the ING Commercial Card App, you can confirm your online payments. How does that work?
- Confirm your purchase in the online shop
- Open the ING Commercial Card App or click on the verification push notification on your smartphone or tablet
- Login to the app with biometrics or password
- Check the payment on your smartphone or tablet
- Confirm your payment
After confirming your request in the app, make sure to click the "Continue" button in the Secure Checkout popup in the online shop if requested.
Do I have to confirm all payments?
No, this is depending on multiple factors
I already have the ING Banking app. Why do I need a separate app for this?
The ING Banking app is a different app than the ING Commercial Card App. You need the ING Commercial Card App to complete your online purchases for ING commercial credit cards.
I have several ING commercial credit cards. How can I confirm online transactions?
Multiple cards belonging to the same card program are visible in the ING Commercial Card App. Payment confirmation is done based on the selected card. Turn on your push notifications and follow the steps.
What can I do in case of a failed payment?
- You can offer the payment again in the webshop and complete the verification in the ING Commercial Card App within five minutes.
- You can contact the online shop to find out why the payment is not successful. And try again if the online shop advises this.
- You can select a different payment method.
I pay a monthly subscription with my ING commercial card, do I now have to confirm this every month?
An exception is made under European legislation for these so-called recurring transactions. This means that payment confirmation via the ING Commercial Card App is only necessary in the following situations:
- One-time when entering into an agreement for a recurring payment
- Once when changing the amount, frequency or details of the beneficiary
So for recurring payments on existing subscriptions and licenses no confirmation in the ING Commercial Card App is necessary. Note: It is the responsibility of the online shop or the subscription supplier to submit the transaction in accordance with the legal guidelines. If the online shop does not do this correctly, it may be that confirmation is asked every time or that your transaction is rejected. The online shop must correct this itself.
Does confirming online payments also apply to ING Central Travel Solution and ING Purchase Control?
For ING Central Travel Solution and ING Purchase Control confirming online payments is not applicable.
How do I change my phone number?
You can change your phone number yourself via:
· Your user profile and personal information in the portal and the app
Or your company's Programme Administrator can update the mobile phone number, via:
· The Team Members page in the portal and the app
· SDRAM (online account management)

Why do I need to confirm my online transaction in the app?
European legislation (PSD2) requires two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or two-step verification) for online transactions made with your business credit card. For many online payments, you’ll need the ING Commercial Card App as the second authentication factor—alongside the payment details you already entered online—to confirm that you are indeed the cardholder making the transaction. This helps prevent online fraud and unauthorized use.

How do I know if my payment was successful or declined?
The online shop page always indicates whether the payment was successful or not. This information is leading.
I’m not receiving a request to approve the transaction in the app, but it’s still being declined. Why is that?
Your payment may be declined for several reasons, such as a card block, payment arrears, or insufficient spending limit.
How much time do I have to approve the transaction in the app?
You have 5 minutes to approve the transaction. If the request expires, please restart the transaction in the webshop.Why has my transaction been declined?

Why are my foreign transactions rejected?
If the webshop where you're making your online purchase does not support this mandatory extra security step, we are unable to verify your transaction. As a result, the transaction may be declined.

Please contact your Programme Administrator. The Programme Administrator can unlock your user account in either the ING Commercial Card App or Portal.
In the ING Commercial Card App:
- tap on the ’Teams’ button in the bottom of the screen
- Tap on ’Search for Users’
- Select the correct cardholder
- Follow the steps to unlock the cardholder user
In the ING Commercial Card Portal:
- Go to "Manage Accounts"
- Use the search fields to find the cardholder you would like to make changes for
- Select the correct cardholder
- Follow the steps to unblock the cardholder
I have lost my login details for the ING Commercial Card App. What can I do?
After receiving your ING commercial card, you also received an e-mail with username and password. With this you can log in to the app. Have you lost this information? Go to the login page and click Forgot your User ID.
Forgot your password or Reset Logon credentials? Depending on your need, you can follow the steps. If the steps do not result in an email, please contact your Programme Administrator who can check in the app or portal if your email address is correct in our system.
Which iOS and Android versions are supported for the ING Commercial Card App?
The Commercial Card App requires at least Android 12 or iOS 12 to function properly.
