ING world’s fifth most sustainable corporation
ING is fifth in the 2017 list of world’s 100 most sustainable corporations. The ranking is done by Corporate Knights, the world’s largest magazine focused on sustainability and responsible business.
The Global 100, now in its 13th year, is unveiled each year at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
It ranks more than 4,000 companies on 14 key performance indicators (KPIs) covering financial, employee and resource management, and supplier performance. It considers companies all around the world and in every sector.
New this year was that companies were scored only on the KPIs that were deemed ‘priority’ for their sector, as well as the four universal KPIs used for every company. Priority KPIs for the Banking sector included energy, greenhouse gas, water, waste, employee turnover and the ratio CEO/employee pay.
