ING wins four Extel Awards 2017

ING named best in the Benelux in Equity Research, Equity Sales, Trading/Execution and Company & Expert Meetings.

Professional investors named ING Equity Markets as the best Benelux brokerage house at this year’s Extel Awards, the ‘Oscars’ of the European equities investment industry.

ING was ranked number one in four important categories: Equity Research, Equity Sales, Trading/Execution and Company & Expert Meetings.

“We value this recognition very much, especially because the Extel awards are based on the opinions of professional investors," said Maurits Duynstee, head of ING Wholesale Banking in the Netherlands.

Each year, London-based Extel asks over 19,000 investors in Europe about the quality of advice they receive from research analysts at stockbroking houses, making it one of the industry’s most valued independent quality assessments.

"We see the equities business as an essential part of ING’s service to corporate clients,” Duynstee added. “That’s why we have, and will continue to invest in long-term client relationships and in our equity platform. We focus on sector knowledge, strategic advice and capital market capabilities, including research and distribution.”

ING’s head of Equity Markets Nils ten Berg said institutional investors in the Benelux clearly value ING’s efforts. “They chose ING as the best brokerage firm in four major categories at the Extel awards. This means, ING is the best Benelux brokerage firm in 2017, with 20.7% of the votes.”
