ING named Australia’s most trusted bank (Australian Banking Innovation Awards)
Based on feedback from 50,000 Australians, ING stood out as the industry leader with a trust score of 71% among the overall population and 79.6% of ING customers – more than 25% above the average for Australian banks.
Country head Uday Sareen was honoured with the Financial Services Executive of the Year award, while ING also took home the awards for Most Innovative Financial Institution and Best Communication Strategy.
“Trust is at the heart of our relationship with customers,” said Uday. “Over the past 20 years our strategy of simplicity and customer focus has served ING very well at a time when things became increasingly complicated in financial services.”
The Australian Banking Innovation Awards, now in its 28th instalment, celebrates excellence in banking and includes transaction services, customer service and digital banking innovation. It covers major and smaller lenders as well as customer-owned and neo-banks.
